Samsung is working on a new smartphone from the Galaxy S21 series that is expected to be the Galaxy S21 FE. There have been reports of a Galaxy S21 4G variant as well but the plans seem unlikely.
The new Samsung smartphone carries the model number SM-G990B which is similar to that of the Galaxy S20 FE. Sam Mobile reports this Samsung smartphone could very well be the Galaxy S21 FE. Given the well-received launch of the Galaxy S20 FE it won’t be surprising to see Samsung launching its successor.
Samsung is reportedly working on 4G variants of the Galaxy S21 series as well. Two smartphones with the model numbers SM-G990F and SM-G990F_DS were spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. Launching a 4G variant and a FE model would be confusing so it’s most likely that Samsung will keep it to only one affordable variant of the Galaxy S21 5G.
As for the Galaxy S21 FE, this smartphone is said to come with 5G support, and in two storage variants of 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone will launch with Android 11 out-of-the-box, and it will launch in four colour options of gray/silver, pink, violet and white.
Galaxy S21 FE will be an affordable version of the flagship Galaxy S21 series. Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE at ₹49,999 in India. It features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 990 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The smartphone sports a triple camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel secondary sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. It also has a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging and wireless charging.
