Ghostbusters for the iphone. Looking back to the Ghostbusters games released in the past you will probably think the iphone version too would be as horrendous as it’s predecessors.
But it’s a new ghostbusters game, and it’s for the iphone. The iphone has a touch screen and tilt sensors. Maybe this time they made a Ghostbusters game that was actually fun to play.
When you start the game the title screen appears with the full Ghostbusters song. The game is only 99cents. This song may be the only thing of value in this app.
When you start the game you see an overworld map then you select a game mode. You can only select one game mode in the beginning. The others probably need to be unlocked.
Your objective is “Drive the ghost to the end of the level and the trap will do the rest!”
The game starts. You tap the screen to make the ghostbusters start firing at the ghost which propels the ghost to go forward. The ghost eventaully makes it to the end of the level. Holding the screen opens the ghost trap, when the ghost touches the trap the level ends. There are no tilt screen controls, all you do is tap the screen and propel the ghost forward, and this continues level after level. I have no patience or will to unlock the other modes.
Ghosbusters is on level or slighty worse than the ghostbusters game made in the past. Before I knew it I had already pressed the home button and deleted the game.

This will be my first review on this site.
There are many kinds of apps you can find for the iphone. Some you use once, then never use again, others you find yourself launching everyday.
The apps that I find myself throwing out are mostly game apps. Most of the games at the app store are lets face it, crap. If you compare them to other portable systems games, Yes. You get bored of them right away or they are just too short like Katamari Damacy.
But there is one exception, that is Golden Axe.
This game rocks. period. I found myself playing it until my iphone batteries ran out. The graphics are just rad, and the gameplay is insane. Sega released other classics games in the past too like Sonic, but the controls stunk. Golden Axe though is perfect, the controls feel just right.
I think it’s the arcade version of the classic Golden Axe. Golden Axe fan or not, this game is well worth the 6$ price.
I give it 5 beers out of 5.
